Chocolate Brownie Slices

LIFE'S TOO SHORT TO SAY NO TO CAKE

Ingredients:


- 125g unsalted butter, chopped

- 125g dark chocolate, chopped

- 3 eggs

- 1 and 1/2 cup caster sugar

- 3/4 cup plain flour

- 1/4 cup cocoa powder

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


Method:


- Preheat oven to 180C/160C fan forced. Grease a 20cm (base measurement) square cake pan and line with baking paper.

- Place butter and chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a saucepan of simmering water (don't let the bowl touch the water). Stir with a metal spoon until melted. Remove from heat.

- In a large mixing bowl pour in eggs and whisk. Add sugar and whisk till incorporated.

- Next add in flour, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract and mix until just combined. Pour in the melted chocolate and butter and mix slowly to prevent spilling.

- Pour into prepared pan. Smooth surface.

-Bake for 30 minutes or until a skewer inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs clinging. Set aside to cool completely.
